On Thursday, September 3, I’ll be joining the event as the evening’s special guest for a night dedicated to independent filmmaking, creativity, community—and actually getting movies made.

Hosted by filmmakers, actors and community builders Trenton Brisco and John Molinaro, Film Industry Night brings the Las Vegas entertainment community together to exchange ideas, build relationships and create new opportunities.

This time, I’m taking audiences behind the scenes of how we built an entire microbudget action trilogy from the ground up—and revealing what comes next.

🎥 From a Small Budget to a Movie Trilogy

Independent filmmaking isn’t always glamorous. Sometimes it means wearing five hats, solving problems with almost no resources and figuring things out while you’re already doing them.

I’ll share the realities behind creating the Echo 8 Trilogy and what it takes to move a project from an idea to something audiences can actually watch.

We’ll talk about:

🎬 Life as a multi-hyphenate filmmaker—directing, producing, acting, editing and wearing ALL the hats.

💰 Making ambitious movies with limited resources—and learning where your time and money really matter.

🔥 Two New Trailers—Revealed in Las Vegas

Film Industry Night will feature the exclusive first public reveal of the official trailers for Five By Five and Echo 8 Beyond, the prequel and sequel to Echo 8.

Made outside the studio system and crowdfunded for approximately $18,000 USD each, the two feature films were shot back-to-back over 50 days before undergoing 18 months of editing and post-production.

Attendees will be among the first audiences to see what our cast, crew, producers and supporters helped us create.

Following their Film Industry Night premiere, both trailers will be released publicly online:

🌃 Introducing Our Next Las Vegas Feature: One Black Night

I’ll also publicly announce my next feature film, One Black Night—a community-powered sci-fi action movie being developed for production in Las Vegas in 2028.

The story follows an overlooked Asian immigrant cleaner who discovers a secret facility and an alien orb beneath Las Vegas. When she becomes connected to an extraterrestrial consciousness, the woman society barely notices may become humanity’s only hope.

This film represents the next chapter of my filmmaking journey: creating an ambitious genre feature in Las Vegas while building meaningful opportunities with the local creative community.

One Black Night is still in early development, so this isn’t a casting or crew call just yet. However, we’re beginning to connect with people who may want to become part of the journey, including:
